Art action is intended to bring Bueraner together
Everyone is an artist: Silvana Marschall wants to put into practice what Joseph Beuys once taught - in the form of an art campaign with a benefit character, including a street party. Under the motto "Buer paints differently", the owner of the home accessories shop "Marschall Concept Art" on Ophofstrasse is currently initiating a creative community project that is not only intended to help children and young people in need, but also to strengthen cohesion in Buer. What was actually planned as a smaller event took on more lavish proportions with the support of the Erl artist Susann Versteegen, Bassima Kaboths and, above all, Carlo Philippis. Because when the former BP manager and former lord of Haus Lüttinghof, with whom the businesswoman is friends, found out about the project, he enthusiastically urged: "We have to make this bigger!" And that's what it will be: "We are now selling 49 canvases in the format 30 by 30 centimeters in my shop starting at 50 euros for personal design, which will later be put together to form a complete work of art. This will then be auctioned off publicly for a good cause," explains the 51-year-old, who is an artist herself. The proceeds from the sale of the cardboard boxes will also benefit an institution for children and young people. How the creative minds express themselves should be left to them. "You can dab the colors, paint or sprinkle the surface. We provide three acrylic paints and brushes in different strengths," says Silvana Marchall. The overall motif is specified in the size of 2.10 by 2.10 meters. “We have a collage with Gelsenkirchen motifs in mind, parts of which we sketch out on the small canvases,” says Susann Versteegen. Like her fellow participants, she hopes that the 49 artists will experience themselves as part of a larger community - and perhaps discover a passion for a (new) hobby. “Beginners are also welcome.” The 49 canvases will be available in store until Saturday, September 2nd; These should be returned designed by Friday, September 29th. On Saturday, October 14th, a public auction is planned "ideally in front of the shop", which of course should only form the core of the event. “I hope that the other merchants will also take part in the campaign, which will also be accompanied by music,” said the initiator. "It should be a day full of art, community and emotions."
